A little background
Building products end-to-end is my passion
As a full-stack developer I can build for the web using the typical tools of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML and CSS. I've also used Appcelerator Titanium to build cross-platform mobile apps using JavaScript.
I've been using the fantastic Laravel PHP framework for over three years, and as a result, got to grips with using command-line tools like Gulp and Composer.
Of course everything is version controlled with Git.
Varied experience
I've worked in agencies, been freelance and co-founded startups. This has exposed me to many different working scenarios and roles, but I'm happiest when building something. I very much enjoy the process of taking an idea from its early stages right through to a working product.
Originally, proudly, from Manchester, I'm now based in London.
While studying I ran a successful event photography business with a friend. I was lucky enough to turn my hobby into a side-business, at least temporarily.
In recent years I was also involved with a Scout group in Manchester running the Explorer unit with a team of leaders to organise the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme.
Education
Graduated in 2011 top of my year (faculty-wide) in Multimedia & Internet Technology BSc Hons - First Class at the University of Salford
